30.05 Two Teenagers in Siberia Kill Man to Steal His Car

KYZYL, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Two teenagers in Russia's East Siberian republic of Tuva were detained after killing a man from a hunting rifle to steal his car, a local Investigative Committee said on Thursday.

The detained teenagers of 12 and 14 years of age said that last Sunday they took a hunting rifle from their uncle and set off looking for a car to steal it. They spotted a man repairing an UAZ car near a cemetery and asked him to give them a ride to the nearest village.

While the man was busy, the teenagers took the rifle and shot him in the back of his head and then made a control shot in a temple. They dragged his body into a forest and took his car, the committee said in a statement.

Investigators launched a criminal case on murder charges.
